Glenna Wilson is a long-time entrepreneur who founded Charis Homes in 2003 with a vision to build higher-quality, healthier, and more durable homes. Her entrepreneurial experience and forward-thinking approach laid the foundation for Charis Homes’ long-standing commitment to high-performance building and innovation in residential construction.

In 2010, Glenna became the first female president of the Building Industry Association of Stark County, Ohio, and continues to serve the industry through leadership roles, including serving on the EEBA Board of Directors.

​

Today, Glenna’s passion for healthier, more resilient homes continues to shape every Charis Home built—combining thoughtful design, advanced building practices, and a deep commitment to the families she serves.

Zach graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering and Technologies and brings over 14 years of construction management experience to Charis Homes. He joined the Charis team in November of 2022, contributing a strong technical foundation and a hands-on, solutions-driven approach.

As a Project Manager, Zach oversees new construction, warranty coordination, customer service, managing schedules, communication, and on-site execution in our Custom and Epcon Homes to ensure a smooth experience for homeowners.

​

Today, Zach plays a key role in maintaining quality, consistency, and accountability across all phases of construction while supporting Charis Homes’ commitment to performance, service, and long-term value.

Serving as Assistant Project Manager, he has been with Charis Homes since June 2022. He began his career as a part-time Field Assistant and quickly advanced into roles as a full-time Field Manager and Warranty Coordinator before earning his current position. His progression reflects a strong work ethic, hands-on knowledge, and a deep understanding of the construction process.

​

He graduated from GlenOak High School in 2023 with a Construction Career Tech certification, providing a solid technical foundation for his role. He enjoys working closely with trade partners and takes pride in watching each home progress from start to finish.

 

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, hunting, and skiing.

Isaac Sackett has been a member of the Charis Homes team for more than six months and currently serves in a field support role while completing his final year of high school.

 

At 17 years old, Isaac balances his academic responsibilities with hands-on experience in residential construction, gaining valuable exposure to the homebuilding process.

​

In his role, Isaac assists the field team in a variety of ways, including documenting jobsite progress through photos, maintaining cleanliness and organization on-site, and supporting administrative tasks as needed.

 

His willingness to help wherever needed, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn make him a valuable part of the Charis Homes team and a promising future professional in the industry.

Shane is a seasoned construction professional with over 10 years of experience in construction management and facilities operations. He joined the Charis Homes team in 2021, bringing a strong background in field leadership and operational oversight across residential projects.

As Production Manager, Shane oversees field teams and day-to-day operations for both the custom home and Epcon divisions of Charis Homes, ensuring schedules, quality standards, and performance expectations are consistently met.

​

Today, Shane plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, high-performance homes by focusing on efficiency, accountability, and attention to detail throughout every phase of construction while supporting team collaboration and continuous improvement company-wide day.

Riley has been a valued member of the Charis Homes team since late 2018. She began her career with Charis as an Administrative Assistant and quickly advanced into the role of Selections Coordinator through her strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Riley holds a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Akron, providing a solid foundation for her work with homeowners.

As Selections Coordinator, Riley works closely with each client to guide them through the design and selection process, helping them choose the finishes and features that bring their vision to life.

Today, Riley plays an essential role in creating a positive, personalized building experience by ensuring each home reflects the homeowner’s style, needs, and expectations.

Chris Whalen is a seasoned new-home sales professional with more than two decades of experience guiding buyers from first conversation to final closing. He joined Charis Homes as Sales Consultant, working closely with each customer to shape home designs, layouts, and features that reflect their lifestyle and long-term vision.

Since entering the homebuilding industry in 2001, Chris has built a reputation for trust, communication, and results. His background includes sales leadership roles with a national, multi-billion-dollar home builder, where he earned awards for sales volume, customer satisfaction, and Sales Manager of the Year.
